These terms govern your use of Pentilo, a browser-based camera overlay tool for tracing reference images. By using Pentilo, you agree to these terms.
Pentilo overlays a semi-transparent reference image on your live camera feed so you can trace it by hand. The live camera, grid, freeze frame, mirror, filters, and bundled sample scene are free to use, with no time limit. Loading your own photo as a reference image requires a one-time payment.
Pentilo is provided as a web application, not sold as software you download or own a copy of. When you make the one-time payment, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the "load your own photo" feature indefinitely, tied to the license key issued to you. You're responsible for keeping your license key somewhere safe — see the Privacy Policy for how it's stored.
You may not resell, sublicense, or share your license key for others to use, or attempt to circumvent the payment mechanism to access paid features without a valid license.
Payment is processed by Stripe. We don't store or have access to your card details. The unlock is a one-time payment, not a subscription — there's no recurring charge. Prices may change for future purchases; your own purchase price and access are unaffected by later price changes.
If Pentilo's paid features don't work as described, contact us at hello@pentilo.com within 14 days of purchase and we'll issue a refund. Outside of that window, or for change-of-mind requests, refunds are at our discretion. This doesn't affect any statutory refund rights you have under the law of your country or state.
Any photo you load into Pentilo, or anything you point your camera at, stays on your device — we never receive, see, or store it. You're solely responsible for the content you choose to trace or capture, including having the right to use any photo you load, and for complying with applicable law (including with respect to other people's images or privacy) while using Pentilo.
You agree not to use Pentilo to:
Pentilo is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee Pentilo will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for any particular purpose. As a tracing aid, it's a tool to assist your own hand — we make no claims about artistic or practical outcomes.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Pentilo and its operator aren't liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us, if any, in the twelve months before the claim arose.
We may update Pentilo's features or these terms from time to time. If we make material changes to these terms, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use Pentilo after changes take effect means you accept the revised terms.
We may suspend or revoke a license key in cases of fraud, chargeback abuse, or violation of these terms. Outside of those cases, your license, once purchased, is intended to remain valid indefinitely.
These terms are governed by the laws of [your state/country], without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Questions about these terms can be sent to hello@pentilo.com.
This document is a starting template, not legal advice. Replace the placeholder contact email and governing-law jurisdiction above, and reconsider the refund window to match the policy you actually want to offer. A brief review with a lawyer is worth it before relying on this for real transactions.
